We interrupt our usual Tuesday-only blogging schedule to bring you something awesome- an Earth Day Giveaway!
Here’s how it works. Eleven fantastic crafters, plus myself, are giving away their goods to celebrate Earth Day. You visit our blogs and leave comments on the blogs that are giving away something that you want to win. For my part, I’m [...]
Another busy week. But lo! There’s light at the end of the tunnel!
All the yardage has been printed for the big order. I tried to be ambitious and print up extra, since tables always seem to be rearranged at a wedding from how they were originally planned and it seemed like [...]
Sorry for the tardy post! Tuesday night, I was afflicted with a common first trimester thing- I was in bed by 9 pm. Before I fell asleep, I did remember that Tuesday was “posting day”, but I was already in bed and it would have taken a fire to get me up. Wednesday, we had [...]
Progress to date on the big order: Last week, I cut a larger Eyelet printing block. It took longer than I thought it would, but once it was complete, I realized how badly I had needed to replace the original! The bigger block is easier to work with, and the old one was getting pretty [...]
This is the story of my first big order!

Crafty Bastards is tommorow and we’re psyched!

Pillow covers (and pillow forms made from recycled plastic bottles)
Table runners
Placemats
Fabric buckets
Floor mats
Lamp shades
Fabric pieces
Kitchen Towels made of a hemp/soy linen weave fabric
A pair of captain’s chairs (shown above)
A chandelier [...]
Finished!
The finished runner…
In my day job, one of the useful tools for public outreach is to equate a difficult concept to something that one can picture, so “one part per million” is equivalent to a credit card in the middle of a football field. Every year, the average family throws away an amount [...]
New Print! Testing out "Apple Blossom"…
Eleven Yards of New Print
The yardage is cut into table runners.
Linen fabric to layer under table runners
That's a lot of orange linen!
Can I just say how grateful I am that my mom is coming up to help me hem 45 yards [...]
