For my part, I’m [...] Another busy week. But lo! There’s light at the end of the tunnel! All the yardage has been printed for the big order. I tried to be ambitious and print up extra, since tables always seem to be rearranged at a wedding from how they were originally planned and it seemed like [...] Sorry for the tardy post! Tuesday night, I was afflicted with a common first trimester thing- I was in bed by 9 pm. Before I fell asleep, I did remember that Tuesday was “posting day”, but I was already in bed and it would have taken a fire to get me up. Wednesday, we had [...] Progress to date on the big order: Last week, I cut a larger Eyelet printing block. It took longer than I thought it would, but once it was complete, I realized how badly I had needed to replace the original! The bigger block is easier to work with, and the old one was getting pretty [...] This is the story of my first big order! A very, very wonderful customer has ordered table runners for her wedding. Forty two table runners, to be exact. Which, in her case, is the equivalent of a fifty yard bolt of fabric, to be printed, cut and sewn. So, step one (after I ordered a whole lot [...] A custom ordered lamp shade printed in Apple Blossom in Royal Blue ink gave me a chance to play with a few new lampshade-making toys that arrived this week. This project came out really, really well- hopefully I’ll get a photo of it once it’s hung in her kitchen! Yay! Five years married, as of yesterday. So my husband, the screen printer, and I, the block printer, spent a little studio time together and made ourselves a little something nice! Crafty Bastards is tommorow and we’re psyched! We got a little carried away, I think. Here’s a list of some of the items we’ll have for sale: Pillow covers (and pillow forms made from recycled plastic bottles) Finished!
